Mailman School of Public Health students (MPH, MS, DrPH, PhD) access housing information through the Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC) Office of Housing Services.
If you live outside a 50-mile radius of the Mailman School, you were mailed a CUMC on-campus housing application packet after you confirmed your intention to enroll and/or paid your deposit. [Please note that the number of on-campus housing slots is limited. As a result, all students are encouraged to consider and pursue off-campus housing options]. Any Mailman School student may access off-campus housing referral resources through the CUMC Office of Housing Services.
[Attention students entering degree programs in early summer: because of particularly limited availability of summer on-campus housing, we encourage students to prioritize off campus housing options].

The goal of the Office of Housing Services is to provide on-campus housing for as many incoming students as possible with priority given to student's coming to the University from outside the metropolitan area.
The University maintains housing for students seeking housing solely for themselves (single student housing) and for students seeking housing for themselves and their spouse or domestic partner (student couples housing).
The office also provides apartment hunting tips and information about landlords and brokers who are knowledgeable about the Washington/Hudson Heights neighborhood rental market. This service is very useful for students who are looking to live in the community as well as for students who may be wait listed for on campus housing..
