P8716 Historiography of public health and medicine
Introduces students to the classic texts and concepts in the field of
history of public health and medicine and explores how these texts have
structured specific areas of research. Particular attention to (1)
changing historical interpretations; (2) historical methods,
quantitative and qualitative; and (3) the use of history in the
formation and analysis of public policy. Team taught by faculty members
in the program. Each section is led by two faculty members whose
scholarship and current research relate to the historical concepts and
methodologies that are the focus of the session.
