Linda P. Fried to Deliver Henderson State-of-the-Art Lecture at the American Geriatrics Society’s 2008 Annual Meeting

Linda P. Fried, MD, MPH, dean-designate of the Mailman School, will deliver the Henderson State-of-the-Art Lecture on May 1 during the 2008 American Geriatrics Society (AGS) annual meeting.

Dr. Fried, the Mason F. Lord Professor of Geriatric Medicine at Johns Hopkins University and director of the Center on Aging and Health, will deliver a presentation on frailty and aging. She will also receive AGS 2008 Henderson State-of-the-Art Award, which is given to an individual whose work helps healthcare providers better understand and respond to problems inherent in elder care.

The Henderson award is named for the late Dr. Edward Henderson, who helped establish the field of geriatrics and held many leadership positions at the AGS.
