Mailman School Debuts New Prospective Student Publication and Web Portal

The Mailman School is pleased to announce the launch of a new print publication, "The Mailman School Experience: Opportunity-Knowledge-Impact," and a companion web portal, which together form the foundation for the School's new approach to promoting its educational programs.

The School has been distributing the new publication at fall recruitment events and has received positive feedback from both prospective students and colleagues at other universities. In addition to the hard copy version, users can also access the print publication online.

Visitors to the School's website can access the portal either through the Prospective Student button on the navigation bar or by going directly to http://mailman.columbia.edu/experience/. Once there, visitors will find a complete presentation of the School's degree offerings, an expanded collection of faculty and alumni profiles, and quotes from students, faculty, alumni, and members of the Columbia University leadership. Throughout the portal are links to additional resources and information about the School.

"Through individual profiles about the School's faculty, students, and alumni-and the unique impact each group has in the field of public health-prospective students can learn about the exceptional people and extraordinary accomplishments that comprise the 'Mailman School Experience,'" says Ian Lapp, PhD, associate dean for Academic Affairs and Education. "These two products will be invaluable resources as prospective students make their decision to join the Mailman School community."
