Joseph Adrian Tyndall, MD, MPH ’06, Appointed Interim Chairman of the University of Florida College of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine The University of Florida College of Medicine has named Joseph Tyndall, MD, MPH ’06, interim chairman of its Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Tyndall is also an associate professor and vice chairman of the department. Tyndall is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he completed residency training in emergency medicine and served as chief resident. He also holds an executive master's degree in public health with a concentration in health services management and health care policy from the Mailman School. Before joining the University last November, Tyndall worked at Brooklyn Hospital Center and at the Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. With medical faculty appointments at Cornell University and the State University of New York Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, he directed medical student and resident training in emergency medicine and also directed clinical operations at Brookdale's Level 1 urban trauma center in Brooklyn. Tyndall is board-certified in emergency medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
