Recent Mailman School Graduates Honored for Achievements in Public Health

Sherry Glied congratulates Karyn Schwartz on her award.

On Tuesday, May 17, Mailman School faculty from each department honored select upcoming graduates for outstanding dissertations, academic achievement, and promise in the field of public health. Also in attendance were members of families who had founded a prize in memory of a loved one. Martha Loewenstein greeted the audience and looked on as Christine Moundas and Karyn Schwartz received The Regina Loewenstein Prize for Academic Excellence in Health Policy and Management. In addition, relatives of Bernard Challenor and members of the Van Ryzin family were present to cheer for Natalie Crawford and Yuquing Yang.

As awardees approached the podium to receive their awards, friends, family, and members of the Mailman School community applauded their success.
