The Mailman School has funds available to Master's students to defray domestic or foreign travel and living costs. The fund is administered through The Office of Career Services (OCS). To be competitive for funds, students must have proof of a firm commitment in place for a practicum placement by the funding application deadline. This deadline, posted on the web links listed below, generally occurs around April 1st. Funds are intended to defray the costs of practicum-related travel, but do not always provide full reimbursement for all living or relocating expenses. The exact amount of individual awards may vary from year to year depending on total available funds, the number of students applying, and student need. Past awards of amounts in the neighborhood of $1000 for domestic and $1400 for international travel have been made available. If the number of applications exceeds the amount of funding available, awards are made on a competitive basis.
For application information and exact deadlines, students should visit the respective OCS websites for domestic and foreign travel/living expense funding. For domestic internships visit: Student Travel Fund: Domestic Internships. Additional information on travel funding for international internships is available at: Student Travel Fund: International Internships.
