  • Resume Assistance
    Most students find having a solid, well-formatted, and error-free resume very useful in their practicum search process. Resume assistance is available in this section.
  • Patient Privacy (HIPAA)
    All students should become HIPAA certified before embarking on a practicum. The Patient Privacy section contains web links to the Columbia University site for training and certification.
  • Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
    All students should become GCP certified before beginning a practicum. The Good Clinical Practices section contains web links to the Columbia University site for getting GCP training and certification.
  • Funding for Travel Expenses
    The Mailman School has a travel fund that allows students completing a domestic or international internship to defray some of their travel costs. The fund is administered through The Office of Career Services (OCS). Other sources of travel funding are sometimes available.
  • Practicum Checklists
    This section contains checklists for students who are completing a domestic practicum, international practicum, or applying for equivalent experience.
