1. Full-time permanent positions
A. The Allan Rosenfield Global Health Fellowship provides Global Health training opportunities for recent graduates of ASPH-member accredited schools of public health (MPH and Doctoral level). Early career professionals with graduate degrees from ASPH-member schools of public health are also eligible to apply. ASPH is currently accepting applications to fill several fellowship positions based in Atlanta and international settings. Fellowship positions are full-time opportunities for a duration of one to two years, with an expected start date of early fall of 2008. The fellowship features an intensive orientation, arranged by ASPH in consultation with CDC. The orientation is held in Atlanta prior to the start of the fellowship.
Eligibility:
Students must have received an MPH or Doctoral degree prior to the beginning of the fellowship (no later than July 2008). Early career professionals with MPH or Doctoral degrees (within 5 years of graduation) may also apply for the fellowship program. Applicants must receive their degree(s) from an ASPH-member accredited school of public health and be a U.S. citizen or hold a visa permitting permanent residence in the U.S. to be eligible for the fellowship program. 2. Internships
A. ASPH/CDC Summer Internships - Any full- or part-time student, enrolled in a master's or doctoral level degree program may apply. Applicants must be affiliated with an Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH) member school of public health. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or hold a visa permitting permanent residence in the U.S. to be eligible for the internship program. The internship program is part of a collaborative initiative between the Association of Schools of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to provide an opportunity for students of public health to gain "hands-on" experience. Internships typically offer a stipend of $6000 and are for ten weeks/40 hours a week.
As internship deadlines are made public, they will be advertised at the ASPH website, Internships and Fellowships.

3. Pre-doctoral/Doctoral/Post-doctoral Opportunities
Doctoral
a. The ASPH/CDC PRC Minority Fellowship Program provides a unique training opportunity for under-represented minority students currently enrolled in doctoral level, research-based (e.g. PhD, DrPH, EdD, ScD) programs at schools of public health or accredited universities with CDC-funded PRC. The trainees gain practical, first-hand experience in prevention research and contribute to expanding minority representation in the public health prevention research workforce. Postdoctoral

The Kellogg Health Scholars Program seeks to develop new leadership in the effort to reduce and eliminate health disparities and to secure equal access to the conditions and services essential for achieving healthy communities. a. If you are not graduating until 2009, to explore f/t options that will be available to you in 2009 or before and/or to explore options for p/t work and/or summer and fall internships.
b. If you are graduating in 2008, to explore f/t or p/t options post-graduation and to start the networking/recruiting process.
c. Employers determine the schools at which they will continue to recruit based on student response. If you want employers to continue to recruit at Mailman, you must demonstrate your interest by doing your employer research and attending Career Day.
Please RSVP for Career Day by visiting Career Education Workshops and On-Campus Events. We need to know how many of you are attending to insure that employers bring adequate copies of their materials to distribute to you.
